Wax plum (Winter Sweet) is a tree that produces small yellow flowers in winter. Its small yellow flowers bloom and the air is filled with a sweet fragrance.

"Wintersweet" was composed during the production of "Gathering the Light (flau, 2021)." It was created with an image of softly moving forward, as if expressing the anticipation of moving from winter to spring with Mami Sakurai as a guest vocalist.

The arrangement of strings by saxophonist and composer ARAKI Shin accentuates the atmosphere of the song and evokes a change in vitality, like the budding of plants from a white landscape.

Acoustic guitar that seems to mark time and the piano that accompanies them, tone guitar with volume pedals like the winter air.
The cold air mingles with the strings, and the guitar ticks the footsteps of spring. The joy of full bloom, the cymbals that signal the beginning of the journey, the footsteps moving slowly but steadily forward.

蝋梅(Winter Sweet)は冬に小さな黄色い花を咲かせる樹木。冬になると小さな黄色い花を咲かせ、甘い香りに包まれます。

2021年のアルバム「Gathering The Light」の製作中に生まれた「Wintersweet」は、桜井まみをゲストボーカルに迎え、冬から春へ向かう期待感を表現した様な柔らかく前へ進むイメージで作られた。

サクソフォン奏者でコンポーザーの荒木真によるストリングス・アレンジは、楽曲の空気感を際立たせ、白い景色から植物の芽生えのような生命力の変化を感じさせる。

時間を刻むようなアコースティックギターとそれに寄り添うピアノ、冬の空気のようなボリュームペダルのトーンギター。冷たい空気はストリングスと混ざり合い、春の足音を刻むギター。満開の喜びから旅の始まりを告げるシンバル、足取りはゆるやかだが着々と前に進む。
